Commitment to Authors

It is important to publish the results of one's research to disseminate knowledge and also to provide an objective outcome measure of one's or a group's effort for assessment exercises. 'Open Access' publishing will rapidly give your accepted articles a high visibility, profile and impact.

OA Publishing London (OAPL) is committed to supporting authors and guiding them to successful publication of accepted 'peer reviewed' material. Our articles and manuscripts will be freely downloadable and are deposited in several secure servers and internet depositories to promote 24/7 access. We will provide a rapid 'peer-review' system from an expert panel of speciality specific reviewers and provide clear communication with the authors during the review process.

We aim to make your research freely available on the internet for rapid download to the entire research community. Several government sponsored research efforts [e.g. CRC (UK), NIHR, MRC (UK), ERC, The Howard Hughes Medical Institute and the Welcome Trust] now require their grant holders to publish research findings in 'open access' journals and have specific provisions within their grant funding to allow for publication costs. We have cut costs and streamlined the 'manuscript' journey to make 'open access' more affordable and cost effective. We will always compete to make our publishing house value for money and the best in the market.

Our article submission and unparalleled manuscript 'peer-review' system has undergone extensive testing, user group feedback and focus group work to optimise its 'user friendliness and ease'. We are constantly striving to make work easier for our users by helping them help us. We will be grateful for any constructive comments and ideas and will acknowledge major contributions.

The manuscripts will be made available to the relevant archiving and journal indexing sites which include:- PubMed, CAS, Cinahl, Citebase, Current contents, Embase, Google Scholar, MEDLINE, OAIster, PubMed Central, Science Citation Index Expanded, SCImago, Scirus, Scopus, SOCOLAR, Zetoc, Impact Factor by Thomson Reuters after 3 years.

Unlike other publishing houses, for ethical reasons, we will not knowingly accept funding for article processing from tobacco, alcohol or munitions companies or their subsidiaries.

OA Publishing London authors retain the copyright to their work.
