Membership

We provide cost effective and competitive membership for research organisations that allow the free or reduced cost article processing charges (APCs) of submission for their researchers to any of our host of indexed 'on line' peer reviewed medical and scientific journals. Non research organisations may wish to sponsor a journal or a research theme which can be facilitated by researchers benefiting from reduced or fully subsidised APCs.

We also encourage charitable research donations from organisations to promote reduced charge or free article processing for researchers which are acknowledged if wished.

Advantages of organisational membership of OA Publishing London:

1 Cost saving; we have a variety of pricing schedules to suit most organisational needs and funding structures.

2 Concessionary rates on other OA Publishing London products and advertisements for the member organisation and its participants.

3 Improved audit tracking reducing administration costs and allowing portfolio maintenance for individual appraisal and group research assessment exercises. Accurate publication data will also be available to funders.

4 Custom web page hosting of organisations by OA Publishing London to improve an organisation's open access profile

5 London-based, international publishing of high quality scientific and medical articles in English

We offer several different types of membership:

Full membership

This preferred pre-pay option allows organisation covers the APC in full. Its submitting authors do not pay other publishing costs. Extra benefits and discounts are available. Many grant awarding bodies now allocate funding specifically for 'Open Access' publishing. Such support of organisations members may be used in part justifications when 'top slicing' of research grants for administrative costs since cumulative discounts may justify group submissions.

Supporting membership

The organisation and the submitting authors split the APCs. Extra benefits and discounts are available. Many grant awarding bodies now allocate funding specifically for 'Open Access' publishing. Such support of organisations members may be used in part justifications when 'top slicing' of research grants for administrative costs since cumulative discounts may justify group submissions.

Affiliate membership

Member organisations pay an annual basic rate (based upon the number of science and medical researchers and graduate students). A 20% discount on the article-processing charge (APC) is given when publishing in the journals. Many grant awarding bodies now allocate funding specifically for 'Open Access' publishing. Such support of organisations members may be used in part justifications when 'top slicing' of research grants for administrative costs since cumulative discounts may justify group submissions.

Foundling Membership

OA Publishing London freely enables institutions from developing countries to demonstrate their support to open access publishing. There is no cost to become foundlingmember but institutions must fulfil certain criteria and the charges are covered by the OA Publishing London waiver scheme.

Society Membership

To support and foster scholarly discussion this prior arrangement post pay service is available to small research and specialist societies who are invoiced in arrears for papers accepted by their members that have been published in our journals since the last invoice date. This allows societies not to drawn upon resources until they are needed. OA Publishing London also provides a facility at special schedule for societies to publish their meeting reports and preformatted 'peer reviewed' presentation and poster abstracts for 'open access' dissemination. Direct debit arrangements will benefit further discounts. An OA Publishing London abstract template is available with registration of conference or meeting abstracts of posters/presentations that have been peer reviewed prior to acceptance. Interval sampling will be undertaken to ensure quality. This enables scholarly work to be registered and published with a global downloadable reference.
