Before the Queen died last month at the age of 96, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were almost done with many projects.
Meghan's podcast, Archetypes, had just started on Spotify, and Harry's tell-all memoir is due out by the end of the year. Netflix sources have told the Daily Telegraph that Harry and Meghan Markle Netflix"multi-episode" reality show will air in December.
Filming for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's docuseries with Netflix was also well underway.
A source tells the paper that the couple is making changes and tweaks to the show with their production team, but they are not making big changes as has been said.

Harry And Megan Markle Netflix Release Date Issue

Harry and Meghan Reportedly CLASHING With Netflix Over Docuseries

Now, though, things have changed since the Queen's death, and Tatler reports that the couple's upcoming docuseries could be "put on hold indefinitely" because the Sussexes want to make "extensive cuts" to the show and are "at odds" with the producers.
Page Sixsays that the changes that Harry and Meghan want to make to their show are so big that the show might have to be put on hold for good. The couple signed a multimillion-dollar deal with Netflix in 2020.
The show would have been their first project since then. The biographical documentary series was supposed to come out after The Crown, in late 2022 or early 2023.
It is likely that, given the recent death of Prince Harry’s grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, the couple are now looking to ‘downplay’ much of what they have said about King Charles III, the Queen Consort, and the Prince and Princess of Wales, as it is believed the project will ‘include a number of truth bombs’ about the family.- Tatler
According to the outlet, the release date for the series is now set for 2023, and the couple might be having second thoughts about the whole thing, which could delay or even kill the project.
Harry and Meghan are panicked about trying to tone down even the most basic language. But it’s their story, from their own mouths.” According to a source from Netflix, “Netflix has been keen to have the show ready to stream for December. There’s a lot of pressure on [Netflix CEO] Ted Sarandos, who has the relationship with Harry and Meghan, to get this show finished.- Page Six
In May, it was said that Harry and Meghan had let cameras into their Montecito home, but it's not clear if their two children, Archie and Lilibet, will be in the show.
In July, sources said that Netflix wanted to air the show before Harry's upcoming memoir came out, which is also said to be getting a lot of changes because of the death of Her Majesty.
“There is a lot to organize and a lot of things at play here, Netflix wants to make sure they get in there and don’t get scoopes [Netflix executives] knew the book was coming out, which is why they wanted the series this year. They don’t want to hold off any longer.”- Page Six

Conclusion

There has been some "back and forth" about when the series will come out. The current plan is for it to come out in December. Hary and Megan Markle Netflix project has been in the works for a while, and it will give fans a close, personal look at Harry and Meghan's lives after they leave the royal family.
