Rebel Wilson Announces Birth Of Daughter Via Surrogate

Rebel Wilson, an Australian actress, and comedian has told people that her first child was born through a surrogate. The Bridesmaids and Pitch Perfect star posted the first picture of her daughter Royce Lilly online and called her a "beautiful miracle."
She also thanked the "beautiful" woman who carried her. The 42-year-old man said:
I can't even describe the love I have for her, she's a beautiful miracle!- Rebel Wilson
I am forever grateful to everyone who has been involved, (you know who you are), this has been years in the making... but particularly wanted to thank my gorgeous surrogate who carried her and birthed her with such grace and care. Thank you for helping me start my own family, it's an amazing gift. The best gift!- Rebel Wilson
Wilson also shared a series of photos on her Instagram story of her at her baby shower, where balloons, decorations, and friends were all around her. She went on to say that she was "learning quickly" about being a mother while offering "much respect to all the mums out there".
In the UK, surrogacy is legal. But it is against the law to advertise for a surrogate, and it is also against the law for third parties to make money by putting people together. Surrogacy for money is legal in many states in the US, but it can cost a lot.
From 2001 to 2021, almost four times as many parents in England and Wales used a surrogate to have a child. Two-thirds of applicants are now mixed-gender couples, most of whom are in their 30s or 40s. The NHS doesn't pay for surrogacy plans.
In June, the comedian-actor said that she was dating fashion designer Ramona Agruma. She said at the time:
I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince... but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess.- Rebel Wilson
Before Wilson told the public that she was dating a woman, the Sydney Morning Herald was accused of trying to find out that Wilson was gay.
The newspaper didn't believe the claim, but they did take down a gossip column and apologize for it, saying that they "genuinely regretted that Rebel has found this hard".
Wilson hosted the Baftas for the first time this year. She made jokes about how much weight she lost, the Royal Family, and how bad her movie Cats did, and she also gave Russian President Vladimir Putin the middle finger.
In September, she told the PA newsagency that since she had lost weight, she had been offered more important roles.
In a December 2017 interview with the BBC's Nomia Iqbal, the entertainer talked about why she chose to lose weight during her "year of health," how she used to be known as the "funny fat girl" in Hollywood, and how she still has trouble getting pregnant.
I'm still trying on the fertility journey, even though it is emotional and you get hopeful and then your hopes are dashed, so I feel for any woman going through it.- Rebel Wilson
I was the classic example of a career woman who went out into the world, didn't even think about kids and then suddenly in your mid 30s it's like, Oh hang on, do I want that as an option? And then if I do, what do I need to do?- Rebel Wilson
It could be great if I had my own children, but I don't know whether that's going to happen.- Rebel Wilson
