  • Kenya's Mukuru Clean Stoves:Mukuru Clean Stoves is a company established in Kenya that was created by a woman and is now managed by a majority of women. • India's Kheyti: Greenhouse-in-a-Box initiative in India, developed and led by Kaushik Kappagantulu, is providing assistance to small-scale farmers by shielding their crops from pests and extreme weather conditions.
  • United Kingdom's Notpla: An initiative located in the United Kingdom, is one of the winning projects; it offers a waste-free alternative by producing biodegradable and natural plastic made of seaweed. Founded by Pierre Paslier and Rodrigo Garcia Gonzalez, the firm has provided over a million takeout meal boxes to the online food delivery service Just Eat.
  • Australia's Indigenous Women of the Great Barrier Reef:In order to teach 60 women in digital and traditional ocean conservation practices, the Australian government chose to work with the Indigenous Women of the Great Barrier Reef.
  • Project 44.01 in Oman:It is led by businessman Talal Hasan, offers customers a novel service: they may have their carbon dioxide converted into peridotite, a common rock that can be found in plenty in both Oman and across the world. The initiative provides inexpensive and secure options for carbon storage, such as burying it in decommissioned oil wells.

Annual Earthshot Prize

After last year's inaugural ceremony, this year marks the presentation of the second annual Earthshot Prizes. The name of the award is a nod to former U.S. President John F. Kennedy's "Moonshot" goal of sending a human to the Moon within a decade.
Each year from now until 2030, five winners will receive £1 million ($1.2 million) in Earthshot Prizes to fund future environmental innovation initiatives. The deadline to submit nominations for the 2023 award is December 5.
From a pool of 15 nominees, the 2018 winners were selected by a jury that included Prince William, Sir David Attenborough, Cate Blanchett, player Dani Alves, Fijian campaigner Ernest Gibson, and singer Shakira.
On the first day of their three-day visit to the United States, Prince William met with Vice President Joe Biden. This will be William and Catherine's first major public outing since the death of the Queen.
William's godmother, Lady Susan Hussey, a prominent member of the Royal Household, quit following a racist dispute in which she asked the head of a black British charity many times where she was "truly" from, casting a pall over the otherwise high-profile trip.

Final Words

Royal guests Prince William and Princess Catherine were joined by celebrities from all over the world, including David Beckham, Billie Eilish, Ellie Goulding, Annie Lennox, and Chloe Halle, at the second annual Earthshot Prize award ceremony in Boston.
